Gratitude from Maranghada!
Afgelopen schooljaar verkochten de leerlingen en leerkrachten beeldende kunsten weer zelfgemaakte hebbedingen om de Maranghada school in India te steunen. Maar liefst 1018 euro kon er deze keer overgemaakt worden. Eerder deze week ontvingen we uit Maranghada een bericht met de titel 'Gratitude':
"Respected Dominik Martin and all our very dear students and staff of KANL an art School,
Along with the children and staff of Maranghada boarding school, I extend our gratitude and thanks to you all for the big gift you have sent for us.We saw in the mail the exhibition of your beautiful cards for sale.We acknowledge and appreciate your art. You are making use of God given talent and art for the poor and less privileged children of the society at large like our children of Maranghada and thus glorifying the giver - God.Hearing the good news I went to Maranghada,.60 KM. from my place to tell them the news and to find out their need.Children don't have bath-rooms.Hence they take bath in a open place around the open well. It is dangerous and no privacy .They don't have proper place to dry their clothes.Hence we shall use the money to build a few bath-rooms and put wire in a proper place to dry their clothes. Children and their guardians will be very happy, for this provision will enhance their safety, health and human values. Once the project is complete I shall send you the complete report.
